The Town Council understands the need to maintain a 2m buffer zone for security reasons and generally speaking has no objections to the demolition of the single story brick building (no 10). Members are however concerned that this buffer in effect encroaches on established football/cricket pitches. Planning Policy is in place to protect such recreational facilities but the issue is these facilities will no longer be able to be retained as full size.
