Application Notes:
The Town Council has previously commended Shrewsbury School for its approach to introducing new buildings alongside old traditional buildings which work in harmony with each other. However, members feel the design of this theatre neither compliments nor enhances the area, it does not reference the adjacent buildings, it has a negative impact on the setting of a listed building and is out of scale in this location. For these reasons, the Town Council objects to this application.
