The Mayor of Shrewsbury is hosting a charity Summer Lunch in the Quarry Park and would like members of the public to join him for the event.
The post-Flower Show luncheon will take place on August 11 in the Members’ Marquee in the Quarry
The event begins at 12.30pm for a 1pm start and guests can enjoy a two-course summer buffet lunch and coffee.
Tickets are priced at £22.50 with proceeds going to the Mayor’s Charity Fund in aid of Samaritans of Shrewsbury.
Mayor of Shrewsbury, Councillor Phil Gillam, said: “I know that the Summer Lunch is always a popular annual event for the people of Shrewsbury and I am delighted to be hosting it this year as part of my Mayoral fundraising events.
“I would like to thanks the Shropshire Horticultural Society and Danco for the use of the marquee for my Summer Lunch, with all proceeds going to the Mayor’s Charity Fund in aid of Samaritans Shrewsbury, my chosen charity for this year. The event promises to be a great afternoon and I would encourage people to attend and help support a very worthwhile local charity.”
The event is stated by kind permission of the Shropshire Horticultural Society and Danco, with Barry Hamer providing the electrical services for the occasion.
Tickets can be reserved via Carol Pullen, Mayor’s Secretary, on 01743 257655 or email: carol.pullen@shrewsburytowncouncil.gov.uk
