Polish Independence Day

National Independence Day is celebrated on the 11th of November every year because it marks the re-establishment of the Republic of Poland following the end of the First World War. For more than a hundred years before 1918, Poland had been a divided nation.
This year we wish to show you an exhibition about Polish pilots during WW2. This exhibition is an amazing project made by Robert Gretzynger, a historian and passionate man who wants to bring history closer to you.
Please come and join us on the Open Day, 11th November from 5 till 7 pm in Shrewsbury Library with Polish – Ukrainian refreshments.
We are pleased to share with you that there will be a short talk with our friend Simon Bell.
Entry is FREE, however, we are a welcome donation to The Ukrainian Front Line.
The exhibition will be available for you from 12.11 till 26.11 (Facebook won't allow me to put that date) for FREE during library opening hours.
