As a key supporter of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity I would like to update you on the progress of our new combined Airbase and Charity headquarters which will positively impact on the future provision of pre-hospital emergency critical care across your region.
As you will be aware, for many years we have had an airbase facility based at RAF Cosford. As demand for our service has increased, we started to outgrow the portacabin building facilities. Our committed board of Trustees therefore made the strategic decision to build a new airbase in order to enhance the provision of advanced pre-hospital services, by improving clinical operations and creating a centre of clinical training excellence. Our new facility will continue our ability to reach emergencies within the region within an average of 10 minutes from dispatch.
Following a four-year project, I am pleased to advise that our new Cosford Airbase and Charity Headquarters at Neachley Lane has now been constructed and is fully operational. As such, we are hosting a small welcome event for key organisations and individuals who have supported this project and we would be delighted if you could attend this event.
