RAF Shawbury are organising a charity concert where the RAF Regiment Band will play songs from famous films in one of the aviation hangars. We also have Lucy Illingworth, the winner of the Channel 4 competition 'The Piano' who will be performing for us.
This is a corporate funded event that combined has kindly donated £13,000 towards the facilitating of this concert. This means all ticket sales will go to charity. The primary charity beneficiary will be Scotty's Little Soldiers. Scotty's raise money for bereaved children that have lost a parent in the British Armed Forces. 50% of money raised will go to Scotty's, with the remaining 50% split between other RAF Shawbury aligned charities.
There will also be an auction/silent auction/raffle during the evening to help bolster charity fundraising.
