We are holding a mass Diabetic Eye Screening Event on 20th January 2024 at Shrewsbury Town Football Club.
The event is being held as part of our Health Equity drive to try and encourage some persistent non-attenders to drop in for diabetic eye screening. There will be screeners there with cameras so that patients can be screened on the spot and invitations will be sent out to approx. 450 patients.
We will also have a small exhibition area with diabetic related services in attendance, such as foot screening and Diabetes UK, to share information with the patients.
We would be really pleased if the Mayor could attend as a 'mock patient' although this is not compulsory. If we could have some photos with staff. Our Comms Team will be attending to take photos for NHS socials.
