The launch of the 14th Shropshire Rainbow Film Festival (a weekend of LGBTQ+ films) at the Old Market Hall, Shrewsbury.
For a few years now the Mayor has opened the event (in the early days a small Town Council grant helped to get the Festival going – thank you).
A happy occasion for everyone, with a cake to cut and a glass of cheer to share, prior to the screening of the first film (and to appreciate that the OMH cinema is open again too).
The 7 films this year at the OMH, will be an entertaining mix of films – the aim is to have something for everyone.
Shrewsbury is still, we believe, the only town to have such a festival outside of the big cities; quite an achievement, and it speaks volumes for the friendliness of the town.
This year the Festival will also, for the first time, be over the weekend of 22 to 24th October at Kinokulture (cinema) in Oswestry.
