You are hereby summoned to attend the meeting of the Town Council’s Annual Town Meeting scheduled to take place on Monday 29 April at 7pm in room SGH026 at the Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, in order to transact the following business.

• 1Introduction

  Mayor shall welcome those present and give an outline of the role of the Annual Town Meeting.

• 2MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETINGS IN 2018

  To approve the Minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on 14th May 2018.

• 3SHREWSBURY TOWN COUNCIL

  To receive a report from the Town Council on its work throughout the 2018/19 Municipal Year followed by an opportunity for Questions & Answers.

• 4CLIMATE EMERGENCY

  To consider how the Town Council might develop an action plan to achieve carbon neutral status by 2030.  This follows a recent motion declaring a Climate Emergency.

• 5POLICING IN SHREWSBURY

  To receive an update on policing matters in the Shrewsbury.

• 6BIG TOWN PLAN

  To receive an update on developing a Big Town Plan Masterplan with Shropshire Council, Shrewsbury Business Improvement District & Shrewsbury Town Council.

• 7PUBLIC FORUM

  To receive any matters of interest or concern to the Town of Shrewsbury from the electors of the Town.

• 8DATE OF NEXT MEETING

  To approve the date of the next Annual Town Meeting for Monday 27th April 2020.
