The Town Council has concerns on a number of aspects of the proposed development as follows: • the loss of valuable green space in the area with a corresponding detrimental impact on wildlife; • increased traffic levels in an already congested area of Shrewsbury; • these plans represent an over-development of the site with the current proposals; • sustainable drainage issues of the site and the close proximity to the flood plain. Whilst members have previously considered these proposals as part of the pre-planning consultation, they are disappointed that their concerns raised with the developer do not appear to have been addressed. The Town Council respectfully requests that this application should be considered at Committee level and not by delegated decision.
