Whilst the Town Council raises no objections to the principle of development and is supportive of the proposals to provide these care home facilities, Members expressed their concerns that the provision of thirty car parking spaces would be wholly inadequate for this location, where a reliance on car usage is prevalent in a rural county. With reduced public transport, Members felt that staff parking would account for most of the available spaces and questioned the remaining availability of spaces for visitors and emergency services vehicles.
